1) Users are only allowed to use the tea-room for meetings, discussion groups, shooting or group projects.
2) Please leave your shoes properly on the shoe rack before entering the room.
3) Please make sure that all lights are switched on when the tea-room is used.
4) Please bear in mind that making noise, singing, eating, sitting on the table and sleeping is strictly not allowed.
5) Please keep the tea-room clean and tidy and remember not to leave any rubbish behind when you leave the room.
6) Please arrange the tables properly before you leave the room.
7) Please note that each group of students are allowed to use the tea-room for a maximum of two hours per day.
8) Any user who violates this rule shall be barred from using the tea-room facilities.
1) Open Shelf Collection
This collection can be on loan to staff and students.
2) Reference Collection
This collection only can be referred by users in the library ONLY.
e.g. dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc. and also RC including books. The books' call number is preceded by a capital R.
3) Red Spot Collection
This collection is indicated by a red spot on the cover of the book and can be loan out for a few hour and has to return back before 5.30 p.m. on the same day.
E.g. Past year examination papers, student project, Industrial Training Report, thesis, etc.
4) Audio Visual Collection
Students can view and use the Audio Visual materials in the library only, while lecturers can borrow them for teaching purposes.
AV collection includes cassettes, VHS tapes, diskettes, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc.
5) Periodicals Collection
This collection refers to the periodical publications purchased and subscribed by Han Chiang University College of Communication library such as journals and magazines.
The Han Chiang University College of Communication library serves as an information centre for all staff and students. It plays a vital role in acquiring, managing and providing complete, relevant and latest information that supports the learning, teaching and research activities in the college.
In addition, it helps to promote the reading culture among students and staff.
Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is used to search and locate materials available at Han Chiang University College of Communication library.
Materials could be searched by author, title, subject or keyword.

A self-service photocopier and printing are available for use (1 at RM0.10 per page).
The users also are allowed to scan reading material for free.

Users can search for all types of items in the library collection by using Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) via link http://hcclibrary.com.my
3) Tea room
Library users can use this room for discussion or committee meetings.
Students can access the Internet by using personal notebooks/laptops.
There are 1 computer for OPAC and 4 computers for users to surf the internet.
6) Discussion room
Discussion room are available for group study and discussion.
7) Reading area
Users usually use this area to read periodicals, newspapers and other reading materials.
The Library provides carrels for private study.
Users may keep their belongings in the locker except valuable items.
10) Prayer room
This room is reserved for male Muslim staff and students only.
Female Muslim staff and students can use the Female Staff prayer room located in Block B.
1) Borrowing & Returning
The user must register as a member before he or she can obtain the loan services provided by the library.
Members are allowed to renew books which they have borrowed provided no one has placed a reservation on these books. Users can renew books at library counter or via online renewal service (http://www.hcclibrary.com.my).
Library users can place reservations for books checked out via online reservation.

This service includes assistance in identifying, obtaining or using resources, services or facilities provided by the Library
